Today’s Reading: Jeremiah 23:1-8; 33:14-40
God promises for a new covenant. In today’s passage, you can see a number of hints and imagery of coming Savior. Isn’t it exciting just to read the sentence, “the time is coming…. In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line; he will do what is just and right in the land…. This is the name by which it will be called: the Lord Our Righteousness”!
I am not good with hints and imageries – in fact, they drive me quite crazy because I like direct, clear and blunt expression. As a result, I find difficult to read for the last six weeks or so. But, the funny part is that I think God is training me by giving me what I am not good. In order to teach me, He puts these passages to me for my benefit. For example, in order to practice loving people, He tend to put unlovable people in my life to love; in order for me to be patience, I end up in most frustrating situation of all times. So, if you are having difficult time to read prophets, how about considering this time as God is pruning you in his own way?
What a beautiful Friday sunshine! God is so creative & artistic when I see the nature surrounding us – guess what? I’ve never knew that until He kept putting me into the nature to admire!
Have a great weekend!
