Today’s Reading: Isaiah 40:1-31 & 41:1-10
What does God look like to you? “to whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?”
Have you ever stood on the edge of a giant cliff and felt the power of God as the waves crashed in? “who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand?”
Have you ever lay on your back and got lost in the vast expanse of the starry night? “He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name”
Now how about us?
Have you thought of the brevity of time allotted you? “All men are like grass, and all their glory is like flowers of the field.”
But Remember you are chosen by this amazing God. “I have chosen you and have not rejected you”
This amazing God who flung the stars into orbit didn’t just chose you but fights for your love. “So do not fear, for I am with you do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you, I will up hold you with my righteous right hand.”
And where does that leave us? Right where we always been — Right in the centre of God’s love.
