The Gospels have little to say about Jesus’ childhood, but as an adult he starts to reach out to the people of his community and there are a series of firsts: his baptism, his first challenge, his first disciples, his first miracle. Through it all runs a thread of belonging. God wants to be with us and he wants us to be with Him.
