God revealed many things to Daniel during his lifetime. Some had an immediate outcome, such as Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in chapter 2. Others referred to future events, such as the Jews’ suffering under Antiochus in the 2nd century BC. And still others referred to events in the distant future, things that haven’t happened yet. Through it all, Daniel’s life of consistent faithfulness demonstrated that regardless of whether he understood it or not, could see its effects or not, God’s plan could be trusted.
