We were made to be a visible representation of God: “God created humankind in his own image”, in Genesis 1. Adam messed this up by disobeying God in Genesis 3, bringing sin into the world and leaving us where we are today. But Jesus Christ came to restore that God-likeness in us that he intended from the beginning. He wants to change us into his likeness once more.
