Maybe the most memorable part about Balaam’s story is that his donkey started talking to him. Without missing a beat, Balaam answered right back. But even more amazing is the blessing God caused for His people, even though Balaam’s purpose was to curse them. It encourages us today to understand how God sees us. And there’s a warning: although he couldn’t curse them, Balaam showed how easy it was to misdirect God’s people so they would bring about their own destruction.
