Today’s reading: Jeremiah 33:10-13, 30:1-24; 31:1-26
If I have to sum up today’s reading, it will be “hope of joyful restoration”. After much darkness, we are told “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness”!
You may wonder how God said that when he made so many judgments against people of Jacob – he put them in so many circumstances that are full of darkness and misery ( mind you that they have in fact created such circumstance by their act of rebellion, if you recall). But, joy is your choice, regardless of your circumstances, based on your trust in God. Happiness is solely based on your circumstances.
So, will you be able to feel joyful in hope of restoration by God today?
