Today’s Reading: Esther 1:1-22; 2:1-23; 3:1-15; 4:1-17
“Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. If you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”
Have you wondered why you are where you are sometime? I do. I face a number of situations where I must make a decision. Then, I wonder, “why me? Why do I have to make this decision?” Today’s passage seems to be a good one to remember for me – “who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?” God does. He knows exactly where everyone has to be and doing exactly what, in his grand plan. We can’t see it, but He does. When you wonder “why”, let’s change the question to “what”. “What does God want me to do?” or “What choice does God want me to make in this situation?”
Are you facing a decision today? Let’s ask together – “God, what do you want us to do today?”
