God-Given Rest

Today’s Reading: Joshua 18-21

Did anyone notice??? I guess not….

I did not see a little “sunrise” mark on the corner and read both March 13 and 14 together yesterday. So my email yesterday actually covered today’s message as well. As I reviewed yesterday’s email, I note that the last sentence is supposed to be for today’s reading!

Finally, “So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their forefathers, and they took possession of it and settled there.” This promise did not come easy or immediately, but our God is a promise maker who is ALWAYS a promise keeper. In addition, “the Lord gave them rest on every side”. Don’t you seek that rest only the God can give you?

We are coming close to the end of March — if you are with us from the beginning, we have come 25% of this year together on a daily bible reading journey. I hope you are encouraged in reaching this far and you see the benefit of each day reading as I have! Don’t worry if you miss a day or two; so have I, especially over the weekends. Just keep reading today’s bible verses. Yesterday is already gone and you cannot do anything about it. Tomorrow is not here yet so that you have no idea what it holds for you. So we can only do what we got today!
