“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us” John 1:14

God moved into the neighbourhood. He—the all perfect, all powerful, and all present One—came to live with rebellious, broken, and dirty mankind.

Since God was so willing to move to the “ghetto” of this world to show us His glory (see the rest of verse 14), we should be willing to invest our time, energy, and strength in the lives of the broken and hurting in our own circles of friends, family, and acquaintances. And, in so doing, we should show them His glory as well.
