Today’s Reading: 2 Corinthians 1-9

We got 27 days left to the end of 2012! As today’s reading states, “therefore, we do not lose heart.” – keep on reading!

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ.” (2 Cor. 1:20) What a comfort and encouraging verse!

As 2012 comes to an end, I feel quite overwhelmed with a list of “must-be-done before” – major clean-up to start a new direction in my office, Heather is moving this weekend, Erica is keeping herself upright with cold medication, my kids have bad cold along with me, last-minutes work is piling up, my house looks like …. Need I go on? Probably not! More than anything, it is very irritating for me that I am continuously distracted so that my focus is not on Christ, but on so many of the above listed items and more.

I am praying this morning that I can re-focus myself on Christ and go back so that I can say “yes” to “We have done so not according to worldly wisdom but according to God’s grace” (2 Cor 1:12).
