I don’t like having someone tell me I’m wrong: do you? Neither do I like talking with a “know-it-all,” because they seem to correct me most! Being corrected and disciplined is never fun, but through it one can gain discernment and wisdom, patience, and self-control.
If wisdom was a house and the fear of the Lord was the foundation, I believe accepting discipline would be part of the frame for the house.
I, for one, want to be characterized by a willingness to listen and humility to submit to the correction of others. Please keep me accountable!
