Back to series
Today Rob Vandebelt began a new series on the foundation of faith, arguing that before Christians dive into detailed doctrines or statements of faith, they must first lay a solid foundation for knowing who God is. Rather than beginning with abstract definitions or technical theology, he presented four essential truths for confidently knowing God: God is known through Jesus; truth about God is accessible to children and requires humility; knowing God is relational rather than merely intellectual; and true knowledge of God begins with the fear of the Lord—a deep awareness of His real, holy presence. These principles are woven together through Scripture, illustrations, and the doctrine of the Trinity, showing that God reveals Himself not primarily through complexity or human cleverness, but through relationship, reverent humility, and lived experience centered on Jesus Christ.
