Today’s Reading: Acts 1:1-5, Acts 2:1-47

Today’s reading addresses the Holy Spirit. I remember when I was growing up, this was somewhat of a taboo subject. It’s one of those topics that is hard to define and difficult to explain.

But look at the power that it brings to effect change in this group’s lives. Peter that only a couple of weeks before refused to be identified with Jesus is now preaching:

“This man was handed over to you by God’s set purpose and foreknowledge; AND YOU, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing Him to the cross!”

If I am depending on me to do what God is calling me to do it will NEVER work.

BUT amazing things happen when I step aside and allow God room to move.

Recently I heard the following statement and hope one day to be able to say the same:

“I want the things I do in my life to be only explainable by the hand of God”
