Today’s Reading: Matthew 26:1-5, 14-16; Luke 21:37-38; 22:3-13; John 12:37-50

At the Haven (Eagle Street Christian Fellowship’s Women’s Ministry), we started a new Bible study, Grace, by Max Lucado. One of the initial questions was whether we were always ready to proclaim God’s grace wherever we were and whoever was our audience. I must confess that I could not say “yes” because of the word, “always”. How about you?

“But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.” (John 12:43)

In many occasions, we are given opportunities to speak of God’s love and grace, but in fear, we stop. Sometime we are scared if “they” will laugh at us; sometime we fear if we “ruin” our relationships; sometime, we are just scared even without any reasons. No wonder God keeps telling us “do not be afraid” through the Bible. We are actually almost ashamed of saying that we love God and God loves us, for we are scared of what “they” would say, view or think of us. If you can declare that you are always ready to proclaim God`s grace all the time whenever and wherever you are, I am so envious of you this morning!

So, how do we do proclaim His grace regardless of what others would say? Max Lucado suggests for “Spiritual Heart Transplant” by giving our hearts to Jesus and let Him put His heart into ours instead. So it would be the heart of Jesus that beats in our body — our heart will only beat for Jesus. Would that be great?

I would like to end with one of the final questions we studies – “Has you transplanted your heart with the heart of Jesus?” If not, how about today?
