Today’s Reading: Psalm 42; 53; 58; 81; 101

Did Psalm 53 shock you? Most people today would tell you that they’re a good person. Often, we human beings get the notion in our heads that we are indeed good. The opposite, however, is true. We are all sinful; no one is perfect. We all, like the fool, live from time to time as if God doesn’t exist. What a sobering reality! The thought that we are all sinful people should not make us depressed, rather it should point us back to God, who alone can make us truly good.
