Today’s Reading: Matthew 5:1-48; 6:1-34; 7:6-29; Luke 6:24-49

One of the reasons we’re reading through the Bible this year is so that we can learn to apply (put into practice, follow, obey) it to our lives. Why? Because Jesus instructs us to do so (see Matthew 7:24-27 again). Sure, it will be hard sometimes. But when hard times hit, the ones who do what He says will not be swept away in the storm.

I’m praying for you in whatever you choose to apply from the Sermon on the Mount, that He would bless your obedience richly.

So let’s do more than just read the Bible this year, let’s live it out.
