Drawing from Revelation chapters 4 and 5, Brad contrasts the Lord’s rebuke of the church at Ephesus (who had abandoned their first love of worship) with the heavenly throne room, where worship is the central and eternal occupation. He traces five great declarations of praise that ascend in heaven. Believers are challenged to examine whether their worship has grown shallow or distracted, and to recover an awe-filled, Christ-exalting reverence that rehearses now what will be our eternal occupation.
